About us and our shop

Established in 1975 by John & Pat Fawcett, Stephen J Fawcett has become the largest gunsmiths, fishing tackle & country clothing shop in the North West of England.

We are particularly noted for our part exchange and antiquarian rods and reels, fair prices and good service. Our staff have extensive knowledge of fishing and shooting and are happy to offer advice on all aspects of your chosen sport.

We are members of the Trout & Salmon Association and are keen supporters of Catch & Release, we are also members of BASC and the GTA as "Registered Gunsmiths" thus ensuring you will receive the highest quality gun repairs.

Our retail shop comprises 2,000 sq ft of show room plus 3000 sq ft of offices and storage.

We carry an extensive stock of rods, reels, clothing, guns and accessories.

Our gunroom boast a wide range of products from brands such as Antonio Zoli, Beretta, Breda, Blaser, Browning, Winchester, Lanber, Franchi, Swarovski Optics, Leatherman, Air Arms, Theoben,Daystate, RWS, BSA, Miroku, Ruger, Tikka, Sako, CZ, Remington, Sauer, Howa,Nikko Sterling, Steiner, Deben and many more.

Our extensive show room has been open since 1975 and we are only a few minutes from junction 34 on the M6 [Lancaster North].

If you are heading north or south to or from the rivers, lochs or moors of Scotland why not pop in to see us.

We're just a few minutes off the M6 (Junction 34) in the City of Lancaster with easy parking nearby.

Our Shop Front, the building is about 200 years old and has had many uses during this period.

Originally it was two large town houses adjacent to the prestigious Dalton Square area of the City.
